JUPITER , The PLANET

Jupiter governs the Signs Sagittarius and Pisces, and is exalted in the Sign of Cancer [Moonchild]. Jupiter, too, presides over the Hosts of Devas.

Jupiter is presented as the Preserver, remarkable for its own Symbolism and its relations to other Symbols. On a higher level, it is regarded as the Great Life Wave, and often is compared to the Trinity.

There is much to be learned from the study of Jupiter, which is both surprising and fascinating. It is believed the human aura is mainly under the influence of Jupiter. Also, the softening atmospheric effects in the Spring are attributed to Jupiter.

Appearance and Body Structure: Jupiter in the Ascendant or planet ruler of the chart will contribute to a large and ample body, sanguine or fair complexion or complexion that contains a glow or soft highlight. Jovial, with much self-esteem, the personality is optimistic and expansive. Some degree of physical harmony and balance may be controlled by attention to Jupiterean systems such as the arterial system, liver, fats and glycogen, and the manufacture and secretion of insulin by the pancreas gland. He is sometimes referred to as the body “bank” – some believe there is a direct connection between the blood and spirit. Jupiter is managed, in part, via clear [toxin-free] and healthy blood.

Jupiter in an excellent salesperson, fully stocked with a treasure trove of anecdotes, jokes, and inside tips or latest bet/investments taking shape. Noted for a good and genial personality, good fellowship, good will, and general good luck. In your star chart Jupiter symbolizes benefit, positive opportunity/luck, and the cosmic factor that cannot be calculated. Jupiter returns to his home every 11 years and 315 days and changes your approach to people, business, and quality of life. The Return often provides options that allow upgrades in the public image, professional status, and changes that alter the course of life for the better. The Jupiter Test gives each individual a chance to recalibrate and redefine foundational philosophy as pertaining to prejudice [Gentleman's Agreement, South Pacific] or any other kind of discrimination. Often an event or scenario of some type that enables acquisition of new knowledge, self-realization, and perhaps wisdom will transpire, as with Harry Potter and his acceptance letter from Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft. This brief window in time, about two years in all given the waxing and waning, is known as the Jupiter Return, and The Jupiter Test, described here.

Jupiter and Mercury

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system with a much greater mass than the smallest planet, Mercury. Both planets indicate the departments of life that are most lucky and optional doors we are totally unaware of, and forms that we can barely conceive. Jupiter is generated by an intelligence most associated with the higher soul powers, humanitarian concern for others, and the teacher or guru. Mercury is Psychopompus, soul guide on our journey: he is a friend of singles, wayfarers, and start ups.
Psychologically, he is equivalent to the archetype of the Wise Old Man who is concerned more with principles and ideas than with their external manifestations. He does not fight, but reasons and meditates. In a partnership comparison, any positive aspect between the Sun in one star chart and Jupiter in the star chart of the partner will be of tremendous benefit to both people. Instinctively they will bring out the best in each other, and benefit each other in a spiritual and material way.

Jupiter is the Teacher who speaks to us in dreams, the all-knowing guide of the psyche. In the Harry Potter series, this figure is represented as Professor Dumbledore who is a mentor, godfather or good uncle, and benefactor acting on behalf of Harry Potter, 'the boy who lived'. Dumbledore is instrumental in assuring Harry will be the recipient of vital magical gifts such as an invisibility cape Harry receives on Christmas morning.

Pluto is a silent Teacher in our dreams, however he most often appears as a dancer dressed in black, sometimes invisible. In the Potter series Pluto is represented by three symbols combined to form a single mysterious image. The most popular interpretation of these three symbols would suggest acquisition of power [owned by Pluto or Dis Pater, who wears the hiding cape] that would give Harry a free pass to the afterlife, as described in classical mythology.

Jupiter returns to his home place in the star chart every 11 years and 315 days. The event is known as the Jupiter Return.

Mercury is generated by an intelligence that governs lower mind [computer mind] activity and acquisition of knowledge by way of experience, what is self-taught, and sources recorded information. He is the narrator, sometimes critic of the play, who analyzes, debates, and reports to the community.
His psychological archetype of Mercury is the Trickster who shapeshifts according to his purpose. Carl Jung identifies Mercury as Psychopompus, the masculine face of the soul guide. Similar roles are taken by Persephone and those composite deities who assist the soul through various twists and turns in the afterlife.
Jupiter rotates on his polar axis in a period of about 9 hours and 50 minutes. Mercury rotates every 59 days, so that it rotates three times during two revolutions.

Jupiter Triads

Jupiter is prominent in several important ancient triads. The best known are associated with the occult anatomy, the overview 'watching over us', the treasury or 'bank' of the physical anatomy, and internal weather system.

   Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva
Jupiter and Juno, Lord and Lady of Heaven - Olympus, govern the two physical eyes in the occult anatomy. Minerva, Goddess of Wisdom, governs the spiritual eye, known as "the brow" - her modern day contributions would include The Women's Conference archived here. In the Greek system they are: Zeus, Hera, and Pallas Athena.

Birds
Jupiter: Eagle, Doves at Dodona [ancient network of sacred lines discerned via migration of birds], Phoenix [as higher octave of the Moon].
Juno: Peacock and Cuckoo, linked with Tarot Trump II
Minerva: Owl and other birds that symbolize wisdom; gift - to be able to understand the language of the birds [nd thus to foretell the future].

   Synonyms For The Prima Materia
The basis of the opus, the prima materia, is one of the most famous secrets of alchemy. This is hardly surprising, since it represents the unknown substance that carries the projection of the autonomous psychic content. It was of course impossible to specify such a substance, because the projection emanates from the individual and is consequently different in each case....

For one alchemist the prima materia was quicksilver, for others it was ore, iron, gold, lead, salt, sulphur, vinegar, water, air, earth, fire, blood, water of life, lapis, spirit, cloud, sky, dew, shadow, sea, mother, moon, dragon, Venus, chaos, microcosm. Ruland’s Lexicon gives no less than fifty synonyms, and a great many more could be added.

Besides these half chemical, half mythological definitions there are also some “philosophical” ones which have a deeper meaning. See Sulphur, Mercury and Salt.

   The Weather Cycle
is governed by Jupiter [OM], Apollo [Sun], and Diana [Moon]. Ancient temples dedicated to Immortals [Laws] providing their protection of favorable weather conditions [on Earth] were seldom, if ever, raided or plundered. Military leaders in any culture recognized there would be bad luck to follow those on the wrong side of greater and/or lesser weather dieties, so weather islands and sanctuaries were left untouched.

Jupiter as Thor: Thor was the principal champion of the Gods and the chief protector of humans against giants, trolls, demons and other evil beings. A single blow from “Mjolnir” his magical hammer ended his challengers quickly. He was worshiped by Norse warriors, but because of his capacity to create rain for the crops, he was also revered by farmers and peasants. Mjolnir the magical hammer was reputedly made by dwarves from the wood of a sacred Oak tree, and not only represented the destructive power of the storms, it was used by Thor to create “the fires from heaven”. Thor was revered the fifth day of the week 'Thursday' (Thor’s day) was named after him.
When travelling Thor rode in a chariot made from Oak drawn by two goats, Tanngnjostr (Tooth-gnasher) and Tanngrisnir (Tooth-grinder), and when moving across the heavens dispensing weather, it produced the rumblings of thunder and sparks of lightening from its wheels.

Greek Triad: Zeus – Prometheus - Herakles
The story begins with titans Prometheus [forethought] and his brother Epimethius [afterthought] giving to animals the powers they needed in the natural world. Prometheus went further when he assumed the role of a potter-god, and fashioned men and women from a mixture of earth and water [mud, clay, primordial water, slime, etc.]. He gave the human race the gift of fire so people could master their environment.

The Lord of Heaven, Zeus-Jupiter, thought Prometheus had pushed the envelope too far and caused him to be punished. Vulcan was charged with forging adamantine bonds to securely hold Prometheus to a rock in the Caucasus mountains. During the day Prometheus was visited by a ravenous bird that would consume his liver, but overnight his liver would heal and regenerate. This is probably the origin of metaphysical admonitions that pertain to those who follow the philosophers’ path – the price for success will be your liver!

Apollodorus and Pausanius agree that Herakles-Hercules found Prometheus, killed his tormenting visitor [eagle or vulture] and freed the titan from his miserable fate. A compromise with Zeus had been realized. Prometheus had to wear a ring made from the chains that imprisoned him, inset with a small fragment of Caucasus stone so the titan would always be bound, by iron, to the Caucasus mountains. This way, Zeus modified his oath, without breaking it, and the nightmare of Prometheus finally ended. Herakles became the god-ancestor of the Dorian kings.

Astrology: The path to self-realization, Sagittarius presented in the Three Decanates, Lyra, Aquila, and Sagitta
Decans were used as standard time windows in ancient astrology, indicating the most propitious days for surgery and various techniques that were used in the healing process afterward. As measures of time, the rising and setting of decans marked 'hours' and groups of 10 days which comprised the ancient year. Every Decan is composed of 10 degrees. Modern astrologers employ decans for use in various departments of life, including medical verifications, but do not encourage clients to schedule treatment or therapy according to their indicaitons. Each decan contains a set of stars and corresponding 'intelligences.'

Lyra - Sagittarius Decanate of Sagittarius
Lyra is the ancient harp that was played with such skill by Orpheus and David and which can produce heavenly music. This double Sagittarius decanate ruled by Jupiter symbolizes higher consciousness and attunement to celestial vibrations through dedicated effort and practice. Aspiration for the divine and spiritual awareness may be realized by sincere effort. The keyword is DEVOTION.

Aquila - Aries Decanate of Sagittarius
Aquila is the eagle who flies higher than any other creature and has the sharpest vision. This Aries decanate of Sagittarius ruled by Mars has the pioneering spirit to venture into new fields of endeavor in a continual process of discovery. Intellectual and spiritual pursuits may draw one to travel and freedom of thought where many things can be learned and taught. The keyword is EXPLORATION.

Sagitta - Leo Decanate of Sagittarius
Sagitta is the arrow that the archer shoots according to one's aim. This Leo decanate of Sagittarius ruled by the sun usually aims high and far as the consciousness expands and is enlightened. Through concentration and intelligent perception the illusions can be separated from the reality. High ideals keep one ever striving after greater and greater goals. The keyword is ILLUMINATION.

The Fire Triad
Sagittarius is the Ninth Zodiacal Sign, representing the completion of the spiritual quest as symbolized by the three fire signs: Aries, the Ram [Quest for the Golden Fleece], Leo the Winged Lion, the Kerub of Fire, and Sagittarius, the Centaur teacher/guru, and self-realization. Tarzan, the Edgar Rice Burroughs character, is written with a fiery pen. He was "born" or created December 1, 1911, at 8:00 PM, in Chicago IL. His Sun is deposited in the 8° of Sagittarius 47', trine his Moon 14° Aries 38' and Midheaven 13° Aries 13'. Tarzan corresponds to Carl Jung's first male animus figure in dream interpretation. Tarzan's Ascendant is on the cusp between the signs of the Moon and the Sun, the two signs that govern taking oaths and vows, 29° Moonchild or Cancer. In the Tarot, this part of the sky corresponds with Trump IV The Emperor, King, Osiris.
right, Jedi Knights, defenders of peace and justice throughout the galaxy. They are governed by a Council, consisting of twelve of the wisest and most powerful "force-sensitive" members of the Jedi Order.

Sacred Tree
The Mighty Oak
The oak-tree is pre-eminently the holy tree of Europe. Not only Celts, but Slavs, worshipped amid its groves. To the Germans it was their chief god; the ancient Italians honoured it above all other trees; the original image of Jupiter on the Capitol at Rome seems to have been a natural oak-tree. So at Dodona, Zeus was worshipped as immanent in a sacred oak.
The Celts may have viewed the mistletoe on the sacred oak as the seat of the tree’s life, because in the winter sleep of the leafless oak the mistletoe still maintains its own foliage and fruit, and like the heart of a sleeper continues pulsing with vitality. The mistletoe thus being regarded as the heart-centre of the divine spirit in the oak-tree was cut with a golden sickle by the arch-druid clad in pure white robes, amid great religious solemnity, and became a vicarious sacrifice or atonement for the worshippers of the tree god.
Sir James Frazer, The Golden Bough

Note: The two principal varieties of Oak trees native to England are the English or Common oak (Quercus pedunculata) and the Sessile or Durmast Oak (Quercus sessiliflora).

  and Randy Quaid
“Wild Bill” James Butler Hickok is an American Folk Hero and U.S. Marshal who rose to national fame during the expansion and settling of the West [Jupiter is exalted in the Moon’s sign in the star chart of America]. He never killed a man except in self-defense or in the line of duty.

Wild Bill’s First House contains the explosive duo, thunder and lightning Jupiter 12° Leo 10' with the firepower of the red planet Mars 28° Leo 04', in ever expanding concentric circles. It would appear Hickok had a knack for alchemy and metallurgy as his style of face to face combat would imply. He worked with black powder and was known as, "Prince of the Pistoleers," a virtuoso of the six-gun.

Black powder is not a chemical compound, but rather a physical "mixture" of the three ingredients – Sulphur [Jupiter = sulfur-like smell], charcoal and potassium nitrate, observing uniform ratio re the components to guarantee quality. No trace elements or foreign contaminants may be contained in black powder. This is the same requirement for spiritual defenders and guardians – the power is in the blood. It is pure and balanced, without even trace toxins. When Sulphur is taken by way of the diet, Sulphur foods produce a golden halo and overall glow; sometimes, when combined with sunshine, clean air, and a special diet, the glow appears to be an aura of gold-yellow.

Note: Wyatt Earp was worn with his Sun 29° Pisces 09', in conjunction with Sam Shepard's Ascendant 25° Pisces; both have Mars in Gemini with other important star chart similarities.

1865 - The World's first "High Noon" shoot-out occurred on the public square, when "Wild Bill" James Butler Hickok shot Dave Tutt over a woman and a pocket watch he had lost in a poker game at a downtown saloon. In August, Hickok was acquitted of manslaughter in Tutt's death.

1881 - Billy The Kid was shot to death on July 14, 1881 by Pat Garrett. Using a weapon that had once belonged to "Wild Bill" Hickok, Garrett fired twice. The first bullet removed Billy's buck teeth and took out three vertebrae from his neck; the second struck him in the chest, smashing through his heart.

note: Sam Shepherd's Jupiter resides in his Sixth House @ 24° Leo 50', suggesting the pen is at least as mighty as the sword!

Jupiter Supplements

The esoteric system linked with Jupiter involves the integrity of the lower octave sensorium that takes in new information and transmits the message to the brain. The blood must be clear so any attempt to purify the blood is usually associated with Jupiter, at least in part. Care with sugar and starch often advised, and fresh mountain water is recommended - several cups a day.

The menu should include a meal a day with something that will keep the blood clean; foods high in sulphur are recommended. Sauces with garlic, ginseng, or mushrooms usually help as well.
see It's All In The Sauce for several of these included in a recipe list

Jupiter foods and cell salts help to rejuvenate the skin and minimize wrinkles around the eyes. Foods include: alfalfa, almonds, apples, beet, bell peppers, brown rice, cucumber, carrots, figs, soy, and salad greens contain silica. Silica also act as a detoxifier for many health issues like bacteria, viruses, moulds, parasites etc.

Perfume: Jasmine, Ginseng, all odoriferous roots [musk ok]. Sandalwood is an alternate.

ART AND CULTURE

Robert Redford: [answer to question, why do politicians and government try to control art, limit it, cut off funding]
I think it’s usually fear. When someone tries to prevent someone else from speaking up, it’s about fear. It’s about ignorance and fear and a very narrow point of view. If you’re really standing on your own feet and are willing to hear other points of view and still do not – you can still feel what you need to feel. You can be concerned about the art you see. What your inability to allow an open forum or an open debate suggests – that you yourself have a problem. And I would be very worried about leadership that had that kind of mindset, that wasn’t strong enough to say, “Look, one of the most valuable things this country has, that shapes our very souls is – and others don’t have, many others don’t have – we have this thing of freedom: freedom of expression, freedom of free speech.”

JUPITER IN THE HOUSES

Jupiter in the First House In the first house, the house of self, ego, self-portraits, Jupiter makes you kindly, optimistic, extroverted, and gives love of pleasures, the outdoors, fitness, and traveling. You love to follow your bliss to its logical conclusion. You complete each journey with joy, enthusiasm, and confidence, when you add a new page to your personal ‘living biography.’ You have written, or could write, an encyclopedia of self help books based on your own repertoire. Keep track of emails you exchange, over time, for a perfect literary resource when you eventually write your memoires. Learn to say no to responsibility you really do not want to assume. Jupiter gives charm, executive ability, and a good sense of humor. In Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, Jupiter aids Mars and gives noble ambition: a lighter karmic load to carry as a true pioneer type of nature. Walden, Ansel Adams, and Muir journals may be a source of inspiration; if not, they are excellent gifts for you to give others when the occasion arises. Your ascetic inner ear loves to listen for the music of the spheres. Avoid rich food and heavy sauces that could tax your health. Your environment at home, work area, and quiet zone should reflect your magnanimity somehow – add art that captivates your imagination, perhaps a small waterfall, or a mini-zen garden for your desk. Bring something of the outside inside so you are continually bonded with life ‘off the pavement.’
Celebrities who have Jupiter in their First House include: Tom Arnold, Joan Baez, Anne Baxter, Bill Bixby, Peter Bogdanovich, Johannes Brahms, Marlon Brando, Lenny Bruce, Pearl Buck, Robert Burns, Cagliostro, José Carreras, Richard Chamberlain, Cheiro, John Cipollina [click on international musicians] - Jupiter at cusp of Ascendant, Montgomery Clift, Rosemary Clooney, Robbie Coltrane, Mike Connors, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, Ruby Dee, Jack Dempsey, Gerard Depardieu, Philip K. Jupiter in the Second House In Taurus, the second sign of the zodiac, Jupiter complements Venus. You have musical ability and love live music, opera, and the symphony. Many people with well aspected Venus-Jupiter play a musical instrument professionally, or sing - solo or as part of a group. The quality of music around you should heighten rhythmic awareness as colours, textures, and an exotic accent now and then tend to broaden the base of the sensorium. This aids and eliminates many of the Taurus characteristics, such as stubbornness and love of pleasure. Extravagant gifts may come your way with this location of Jupiter. It attracts wealth, work opportunity in trusts and futures, and sometimes pulls in benefactors from unlikely quarters. Jupiter is philanthropic, and will bestow a generous and jovial disposition, but in a conservative way. Prosperity is the forenote if Jupiter inhabits the second house in the natal chart but try to stick to a specific plan when you spend [develop a knack for window shopping] so as to avoid overextending your financial accounts. Banking, performing arts, buying and selling antiques and fine art, auctions, and the luxury/beauty industries. Your love of botanical companions may prompt you to keep an herb garden on your window sill, cultivate a terrarium or a pond pool in your yard.
Famous people with Jupiter in their Second House include: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Adele (Adele Laurie Blue Adkins), Jessica Alba, Patricia Arquette, Francis Bacon, J. M. Barrie, Ludwig van Beethoven, Andrea Bocelli, Emily Brontë, Miguel de Cervantes, Winston Churchill, Leonard Cohen, Francis Ford Coppola, Claude Debussy, Alain Delon, Robert de Niro, Diana, Princess of Wales, Celine Dion, Alexandre Dumas, Albrecht Dürer, Colin Firth, Francis of Assisi, Bill Gates, Herbie Hancock, Franz Joseph Haydn, Audrey Hepburn, Ron Howard, Lauren Hutton, Scarlett Johansson, Nick Jonas, Tom Jones, Wassily Kandinsky, Ethel Kennedy, Jack Kerouac, Emeril Lagasse, Burt Lancaster, Jude Law, Charles Lindbergh, Virginia Madsen, Dean Martin, Rue McClanahan, Ewan McGregor, Michelangelo, Mozart, Leonard Nimoy, Laurence Olivier, Vanessa Paradis, Bernadette Peters, Rachmaninoff, Julia Roberts, Peter Paul Rubens, Charlie Sheen, Kevin Sorbo, Britney Spears, Stuart Sutcliffe, Donald Sutherland, Ivana Trump, Tracey Ullman, Keith Urban, Gore Vidal, Lindsay Wagner, Tom Waits, and Frank Lloyd Wright.

Jupiter in the Third House Jupiter in the third house brings out the higher aspects of the mind, making you optimistic, tactful, and charismatic. You gain educational advantages with many contacts, are popular with your brothers and sisters, may want to research family roots or write an account of childhood friends and family history based on personal interviews. Success is gained through presentations, routine traveling, and/or publications. Desk top art, flyers, online newsletters or blogs are elevated to the level of fine art. In Gemini, the third sign, Jupiter combines with Mercury to give you a direct approach, somewhat carefree, which seems to help people of this unpredictable sign. It makes you inventive, a good comedian, comfortable in situations that require public speaking or direct work with public service people. Pursue voice over work in commercial gigs with possibilities for networking within the entertainment industry. Your love of math may extend to numerology and qabbalah at some point. Many cocktail napkin psychics have an active third house Jupiter influence.
Well known folk with Jupiter in their Third House include: Cannonball Adderley, Julie Andrews, Giorgio Armani, Roseanne Barr, Jason Bateman, Alexander Graham Bell, Halle Berry, Orlando Bloom, Lisa Bonet, Sonia Braga, Charlotte Brontë, Dave Brubeck, Lewis Carroll, Jim Carrey, Johnny Carson, Alice Cooper, David Crosby, Russell Crowe, Marie Curie, Ted Danson, Leonardo da Vinci, Edgar Degas, René Descartes, Emily Dickinson, Joe Dimaggio, Kirk Douglas, Allison Dubois, Wyatt Earp, Sheena Easton, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Dodi Fayed, Henry Ford, Jodie Foster, Bob Geldof, Mel Gibson, Gene Hackman, Mark Hamill, Rita Hayworth, Ernest Hemingway, Gene Kelly, Joan Kennedy, Nastassja Kinski, Beyonce Knowles, Christopher Lambert, Cyndi Lauper, Martin Luther, Garry Marshall, Steve Martin, Groucho Marx, Ian McKellen, Freddie Mercury, Joni Mitchell, Yves Montand, Jawaharlal Nehru, Vaslav Nijinsky, Roy Orbison, Charlie Parker, Dolly Parton, Joe Pesci, François Rabelais, Rembrandt, Rainer Maria Rilke, Arthur Rimbaud, Tim Robbins, Tony Robbins, Sai Baba, Martin Sheen, Michael Stipe, Jill St. John, Sharon Stone, Barbra Streisand, Teresa of Avila, Uma Thurman, Ted Turner, Peter Ustinov, Ritchie Valens, and Betty White.

Jupiter in the Fourth House With Jupiter in the fourth house, home conditions and quiet pleasures are emphasized and you would do better in the place of your birth than in other places around the globe. Plans for home improvement will pay back on your investment. Some interest in midwifery, new age birthing, defense of children and their rights [esp. in legal situations] may develop into a solid day job. You are spiritually self-renewing yet, at the same time, have a keen interest in the art of culinary skill: owning a cookery, catering, or publishing a fabulous recipe book full of your own specialties. You can experiment with a “kitchen project” that may turn into a family business [salad dressing, cookies, hot sauce, etc.] the way 'Newman's Own' began. Intuitive and artistic in your product packaging and presentation style. Your parents will help you throughout life, often with an inheritance at their death, unless Jupiter is severely afflicted. The Moon’s sign finds a steadying force with Jupiter’s influence, though isn’t felt until middle life when it is prolific and charitable. This position can make for success in investments concerning property.
The fifth and tenth houses pertain to kings and queens, presidents, and high officials generally, their resting place is described by Jupiter in the fourth house - 'the grave and transmigration of souls.' Indiana Jones and Marion found the 'well of souls' in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Tolkien refers to the final resting-places of the Kings and Stewards of Gondor in The Return of the King: the Tombs were reached by a road that ran down from the Citadel of Minas Tirith, and were carefully protected; except during an actual entombing, they were visited only by those specially appointed to preserve them. The way to the Tombs was guarded by the Closed Door, Fen Hollen.
Famous people with Jupiter in the Fourth House include: Joan Allen, Woody Allen, Melissa Sue Anderson, Anne, Princess Royal, Meher Baba, Kathy Bates, Meredith Baxter, Warren Beatty, Monica Bellucci, Chuck Berry, Jorge Luis Borges, Louis Braille, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Nicolas Cage, Michael Caine, Casanova, Cher, Patsy Cline, Glenn Close, Robert Conrad, Copernicus, Joan Crawford, Aleister Crowley, Tim Curry, Dorothy Dandridge, James Dean, Charles de Gaulle, John Denver, Walt Disney, Dostoyevsky, Colin Farrell, William Faulkner, Tina Fey, Bridget Fonda, Ava Gardner, Judy Garland, Johann von Goethe, Ed Harris, Alfred Hitchcock, Paul Hogan, Rock Hudson, Arianna Huffington, Linda Hunt, Mick Jagger, James Joyce, Buster Keaton, John F. Theodore Roosevelt, Maria Shriver, Alicia Silverstone, Grace Slick, Stephen Sondheim, James Spader, Aaron Spelling, Lana Turner, Giuseppe Verdi, Donatella Versace, Voltaire, Richard Wagner, and Ann Wilson of Heart.

Jupiter in the Fifth House In the fifth house of the heart's desire, Jupiter encourages you to think B I G. The red carpet calls you in your dreams although you are as competitive on a miniature golf course as you are playing the tournament with company executives. You like little people and the influence of Jupiter increases the number of children who will bring you pleasure and profit. It makes for a place in the sun, spotlight popularity and gain by speculation; in this department of life, some degree of amusement, entertainment, or love of beauty will be important in what you do. Noble motivation. Prestigious positions can be achieved in publishing, archeology, or teaching - if you are Indiana Jones, perhaps all three. Your hobby may become a small business and lead to unexpected profits. As with Jupiter in the Second and Fourth Houses, faux finishing, restoring antiques, and treasure boxes may be a lucrative acquired skill. In Leo, the natural ruler of this house, Jupiter and the Sun make a good combination. It makes good prospects for success and esteem. Health is good, and you’re a leader, able to fulfill positions of trust and responsibility.
Famous people with Jupiter in the Fifth House include the following: 14th Dalai Lama, Paula Abdul, Tori Amos, Anne Archer, Lauren Bacall, Kim Basinger, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Annie Besant, Honor Blackman, William Blake, Michael Bolton, Jon Bon Jovi, Jeff Bridges, Adrien Brody, Pierce Brosnan, James Caan, Edgar Cayce, Noam Chomsky, Joe Cocker, Laura Dern, Angie Dickinson, Marlene Dietrich, Bob Dylan, Amelia Earhart, Melissa Etheridge, Michael Faraday, Farrah Fawcett, Craig Ferguson, Calista Flockhart, Errol Flynn, Margot Fonteyn, Megan Fox, Benjamin Franklin, Sigmund Freud, Cary Grant, Emmylou Harris, Jeremy Irons, Tommy Lee Jones, Janis Joplin, Helen Keller, Stephen King, Rudyard Kipling, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Lorenzo Lamas, K.D. Jupiter in the Sixth House The sixth house of work, problem solving, and health related matters, is especially good with Jupiter aiding with these causes. Some interest in the management of rental property, make over home investment, landscape and garden schemes, and care of small pets [especially cats and dogs] or rescue work with distressed animals. You may work in a sketch book with fashion design; develop characters through fantasy hair, costume and cosmetic coordination to match an author's description. You are thorough, philosophical, and will tend to excel as a team player. Your urge to learn links your gifts for design and organization with life skills. You will want to take a course in basic rescue techniques at some point in life, perhaps as a lifeguard or first aid volunteer. Patience, dexterity, and attention to detail draws this Jupiter to model construction, dolls/puppets [costume/dressmaking], and minature architectural lay-outs. Health disorders include liver troubles, obesity and other disorders produced by overeating if it is afflicted here. Otherwise, you probably know something about gourmet cooking.
